My Career Roadmap

Learning & Development is embedded in a lot of process and science. When it comes to Adult Learning Theories and system creation, it’s in the people executing the systems that make the business successful or not. For me, it’s not about scripts, but curating to the human at hand. Letting them feel they are smart enough and present enough to make a system their own.

Often times I think we overcomplicate our situations when usually life is pretty clear in what we need to do. A goal or dream can be so obvious and clear, yet the tendency to complicate is just our body and mind telling us we’re not ready for one reason or another. Yet when the same goals and dreams resurface its time to get intentional. There were a few turning points in creating my own L&D program and services.

“Three and One” is my coaching platform to finally lend my business development strategies to small businesses. My career has a niche in dental though I’ve began to branch out. After all, adult learning theories, success and profitability, and systems are the same concepts everywhere just uniquely executed.

The start of my L&D roadmap began with a Bachelor’s in Biology from SUNY Binghamton University with the intention of attending dental school. Having graduated during the recession of 2008, I soon realized the clinical lifestyle of a Dentist was not a fit. The dentist I had worked with at the time seemed to never have enough time or money. Though I learned this was not the case for all dentists, I pivoted.

Here are key business positions I’ve held starting with most current:

  • Director of Operations for a local multi location dental group

  • Remote Director of Organizational Development for a growing DSO (Dental Service Organization)

  • Remote Consultant for a non-profit in Chicago

  • Conference & Virtual Facilitator to as many as 400 audience members

  • Remote Coach (25 clients at a time), then Manager of a Coaching Department

  • Business Development for a dental consulting company

  • Office Manager & Treatment Coordinator for general dentists and a periodontist

  • Clinical Dental Assistant for general dentists

Nearly 15 years later, I’ve learned a ton first hand about what it takes to run a business from the hiring process to setting goals for profitability, reviewing P&L’s and more.

Why “Three and One”?

Currently, my boys are 3.5yo and 14 months. And what I’ve learned recently is that you’re not ready until you have to be ready. Some life events push you to be greater than.

Having done remote work throughout the US, Canada, and the Caribbean years before the pandemic I’m looking forward to expanding that.

My former clients are some of my most treasured people. I’ve learned and continue to learn from them as much, and if not more than what I provide in our time together just in different ways. My style is very family like and that’s what makes this all worth it. And it’s also why the value that I bring is unmatched.

In a recent trip to San Diego, life felt light and simple. And I marked that moment with a Lotus pose tattoo.

I’m paying attention to the universe right now. I’m capitalizing on my goals and dreams that continue to resurface, and I will help you do the same.
